Our technical team can help to design, modify and reverse engineer to your specification.

R Baker (Electrical) Ltd have extensive experience with float glass technology which has allowed us to work on very large projects, supporting some of the biggest names in the glass industry. Fives Stein, NSG (Pilkington Glass), and Saint Gobain Glass are among the companies we maintain close ties with across the world.

Our de-drosser linear motor range

Within the float glass manufacturing process, linear motors are utilised in the tin baths to help give some control of the temperature profile across the ribbon width. Also in this process 6 pole de-drosser linear motors can also be used in the de drossing pockets, this helps remove pollutant from tin baths.

R Baker (Electrical) Ltd has the facility to manufacture and repair 6 pole de-drosser linear motors; ranging in length and design specification. Our fully equipped manufacturing facility is staffed by experienced electrical designers who are able to design and modify float glass linear motors to meet your specific requirements.

Our engineering team can offer full linear motor systems; this may include trolley systems, control panels or even bespoke cooling systems to ensure they meet specific environments around the world.

T shaped linear motor

R Baker (Electrical) Ltd also offer a ‘T’ shaped design 6 pole de-drosser linear motors which some customers require for the float glass production. Our bespoke range can be designed specifically to meet all of your requirements, no matter how unusual.
