Frequency of PAT Testing
Some working environments, such as onsite work, means that certain electrical appliances will suffer a lot more wear and tear than others.
This means that it is important to carry out more frequent inspections than would be necessary in ordinary circumstances.
The IET Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment to meet the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 recommends that all Construction Site 110V equipment is subject to a formal recorded Combined Inspection and Testing every three months.
