What is PAT Testing?
PAT Testing is the term used to describe the process of testing all portable electrical appliances within a workplace. Most electrical appliances require a combined formal visual test and inspection every 12 months but can vary depending on usage. These tests determine whether or not the electrical appliances are safe for use.
What is a Portable Electrical Appliance?
A Portable Electrical Appliance is any electrical appliance that is moved when in use or can easily be moved from one place to another. An appliance of less than 18kg in mass that is intended to be moved whilst in operation or an appliance which can easily be moved from one place to another, e.g. vacuum cleaner, toaster, food mixer, etc.
How to start from a fresh?
This maybe the first time you are setting up a routine test on your electrical appliance. There is nothing to be concerned about as our engineers will do everything for you.
All you need to know is roughly how many items you have which require testing. Most electrical appliances require a combined formal visual test and inspection every 12 months but this can vary depending on usage.
We will produce you a quote using the quantity of items you have provided, however should there be more or less items we will amend the invoice you accordingly. Once the PAT Testing service is complete we will email you a full inventory of items tested along with a PAT Test certificate.
If you would like to discuss this with one of our team please call 0151 486 6760.
