R Baker (Electrical) Ltd carry out PAT testing for artists, bands and DJ’s, throughout the Liverpool, Merseyside and Greater Manchester area. Across the North West music venues insist that acts have up to date certificates before using their equipment.

Is PAT Testing a requirement?
The Health and Safety executive states that around 25% of all electrical accidents happen due to a fault with a portable appliance. PAT Testing is a cheap and quick way to ensure you and the general public are safe around electrical appliances.
To give total peace of mind we recommend that musicians and entertainers have all their electrical equipment regularly test. Depending on useage this could be every 3 months or up to 2 years. Our team can test amplifiers to keyboards, lighting rigs and DJ decks.

Our fully trained and accredited engineers use the latest in handheld PAT Testing equipment, which makes the testing quick and efficient for busy Musicians and Entertainers.
Our drop in service is a fast and efficient service and ensures you are compliant the same day as the testing is carried out. Our team are based in Speke, Liverpool and easily located. We are able to offer you the drop in service from 8:30am to 4:30pm; Monday to Friday.

How long does PAT Testing take?
Testing for less than 15 appliances normally takes between 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the complexity of the equipment.

Where are we based?
Our PAT Testing drop in service is conducted from our manufacturing facility in Speke, Liverpool. We are based 5 minutes away from Liverpool Airport, and just off the A561 on the way into Liverpool.
