Our engineering team design testing transformers for use in commercial, rail, offshore and military applications and we pride ourselves on excellent customer service, offering short lead-times for jobs that just can't wait. Our custom testing transformer range can be designed specifically to meet all of your requirements, no matter how unusual. Transformers generally conform to BS EN61558 and EN 60076, unless specific standards are requested and have protection against humidity and vibration.
All our quality standards and procedures are monitored independently to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and are subject to regular external and internal audits. We also work with all the leading testing and quality authorities such a BSI, DNV, Lloyds, NSN, Nemko and VDE to give you total peace of mind.
Our transformer range can be manufactured with any type of termination and can be incorporated into the design of our transformers; our finger proof block terminals are shock proof and conform to BS EN standards. We offer many styles and types including screw terminals, shrouded, din rail mounted, studs and fly leads.
Our custom build transformer range can be supplied with or without an enclosure. If an enclosure is required we will supply transformers suitably protected by a sheet metal case which is wall mounted or floor standing. We also offer bespoke enclosures which can be constructed out of stainless steel, aluminium or ATEX enclosures suitable for gas and dust environments. Our standard cases are IP23 but we can supply up to IP66 if required, usually with little or no addition to lead-time.

To manufacture an open style transformer designed to offer the customer 8000A at 9 volts. Our design team were required to design the transformer to be built on a moveable unit which would allow the operator the facility to move the transformer into place when testing equipment.
We were tasked by a motor manufacturer to design a test unit which required our team to design a system with a 72kVA transformer and a drive to offer the facility for the operator to change the voltage, current and frequency. The unit was designed and manufactured within a stainless steel enclosure with a user control panel to offer ease of use.
Our engineering team were tasked to design a 10.5KW enclosed transformer, with the ability to vary the voltage manually. The customer required the facility to test their equipment at different set voltages for different periods of time. The transformer was designed so the user could easily connect the transformer to their equipment through a bus bar system.
