Electrical Panel FAQ’s
Our frequently asked questions are answered below, to help you.
What information is required for a quote?
Our goal is to give expert advice when it comes to ATEX and standard control panels. The information needed to produce a quote is your specification, ISO rating and drawings if possible. From this point we can design, give a full specification and price. Call us on 0151 486 6760 for more information.
Do we offer Hazardous Area panels?
We build hazardous area equipment according to IECex standards. Our hazardous area manufacturing team offer an extensive range of ATEX, IECEx and FM certified transformers. Our transformer and panel range is used in pharmaceutical, offshore, chemical and petroleum sectors. One of the most popular methods of electrical control panel for use in a Zone 2 hazardous area is to make the control panel and its components non-incendive or non-sparking. Also all equipment certified under the IECEx scheme is subjected to independent testing and assessment. There is no self-declaration as exists under ATEX, regardless of the intended hazardous area zone of use.
What standards are panels built to?
Compliance with international standards is a the core of everything we do. All assemblies must be shown to meet minimum safety and performance standards. This is achieved through design and routine verification. Working across sectors we have to use a range of different standards. This includes; BS EN 61439-2:2009 (Electrical Control Panel standard standard), EN / IEC 600 (Type of protection). Our team with all the leading testing and assessments houses in the UK to meet specific requirements.
What is the lead time?
The lead time for control panels can vary depending on the specification. This can range from 3 weeks up to 16 weeks.
