Commercial Properties

Electrical test - Office

As a business owner or employer you have a duty to prevent any harm coming to your employees and customers. Fixed Wire Testing is a legal requirement, governed by the IET Wiring Regulations 17th Edition, also referred to as BS 7671.

To meet this requirement our electrical engineers will produce an EICR report. This is produced by testing existing circuits throughout your premises. All electrical wiring, circuits and anything connected to the electrical system will be tested and reported on. This report is not only to make sure you stay within current regulations, but to keep your staff and visitors safe. The final EICR report offers a detailed report, including wear and tear, visual damage and dangers of obsolete equipment. The engineers check all areas of your electrical system including the main incoming supply point through to sockets and light fittings.

If you are unsure when your last test took place or cannot find your documents call us now 0151 486 6760.

Domestic Properties

For Landlords: EICR is a legal requirement for rented domestic properties. Over a period of time in domestic properties there is an increased risk of installations deteriorating. For this reason it is in your interest to have all fixed wiring periodically tested. This ensures the safety of the tenants, and your property to meet your insurance requirements.

For homeowners: EICRs are often recommended as part of a house selling process and can prove invaluable in terms of checking the electrics of a property before deciding to buy it.

Our electrical engineers offer a fixed domestic property testing service across Merseyside, ensuring safety and compliance. To discuss your requirements you can find all our contact details on contact page

EICR - Reports

EICR -Test reports

The five main aims of a condition report are:

1. To detail the results of the inspection and testing. This ensures the electrical installation is safe to be used (after any remedial work is complete) until the next inspection.
2. Report any damage and wear and tear that might affect safety.
3. Detect any section of the electrical installation that does not meet the IET Wiring Regulations.
4. Highlight anything that may cause electric shocks and high temperatures.
5. Provide a detailed record of the installation at the time of the inspection. This information can aid future inspections.
